Stockholm Wood City

Office: White Arkitekter

Stage: Under construction

Team: arch. OSKAR NORELIUS

Covering 250,000 square meters in central Sickla, Stockholm Wood City will introduce approximately 7,000 workplaces and 2,000 residential units. Charly Living, Green community at the Berlin Wall

Office: GRAFT Architects

Stage: Under construction

Team: arch. LARS KRUCKEBERG

Charlie Living is the largest newly-built residential project in Berlin Mitte, in direct proximity to former Checkpoint Charlie and right at the former Berlin Wall. Two objective drove the design concept: permeability into the city block where the wall has been and creating an urban oasis in an otherwise sealed city center. The new residential ensemble marks a highly liveable dwelling in one of the most historically significant areas of Berlin. With a unit mix of 243 3-7 roomed apartments ranging from 40 to 300 m² in size, and 48 “serviced apartments,” the complex constitutes one of the largest, newly-built residential developments at this location since the 1987 International Building Exhibition IBA.

The Origami House

Office: MSSM Associates

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. PAVLOS SCHIZAS

The architectural design is driven also by the intention to protect the large glazed surface with the use of “smart” cantilevers and external metal panels, which prevent the undesired sunlight during summer, while allowing the gentle winter sun rays to fill in the internal space. Thermal comfort is enhanced with the attempt to achieve natural cross ventilation for each space. Based on the origami principle of triangulation, the building itself is, in essence, a cluster of diagonally interconnected surfaces, which highlight the reflections of the environment and the contrast to the geography of the terrain. All these, along with discreet natural vegetation, come to articulate a “functional” sculpture in nature.

Cité du Vin in Bordeaux

Office: XTU

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. ANOUK LEGENDRE

La Cité du Vin stands out with its bold curves and shape. An iconic building, this golden frame hosts a Cité within the city, a living space with experiences to discover. A space shaped by symbols of identity: gnarled vine stock, wine swirling in a glass, eddies on the Garonne. Every detail of the architecture evokes wine’s soul and liquid nature: ‘seamless roundness, intangible and sensual’ (XTU Architects). This roundness transcribed in the building’s exterior can also be felt in its indoor spaces, materials and scale.

Sakanela

Office: GRAFT Architects

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. LARS KRUCKEBERG

A mixed-use project that incorporates both traditional urban structure and forward-thinking, contemporary elements in the city center of Tiflis. The site accommodates approximately 500 flats of varying dimensions, along with premium retail and office space on the lower levels.

AND Pastel

Office: Martha Schwartz Partners

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. CEYLAN BELEK OMBREGT

The AND site slopes down to the Sea of Marmara, giving sea views to upper apartments. The C-shaped structure of the apartments creates an internal courtyard which encourages interaction between the three main blocks. Each of the three main apartment blocks enjoys a courtyard space: interlinking outdoor garden rooms with brick walls of various heights. In addition, all residents can enjoy the larger shared park-like landscape in which the courtyard spaces are embedded, reflecting the civic park which is next to the development.

Kuturplast Dresden

Office: GMP Architects

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. NICOLAS POMRANKE

The Dresden Kulturpalast has been the cultural and social center of Dresden since the 1960s. The renovation has preserved the historic identity of the listed building, while adapting it to today's requirements with a new concert hall and Germany's largest public library.

Blerina’s Agritourimo

Office: INCEPTIO studio

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. INDRIT HAMITI

Blerina Agritourism blends traditional Albanian architecture with contemporary rural hospitality. The design reinterprets vernacular stone masonry, wooden detailing, and tile roofing to create a warm, immersive guest experience. Programmed as an agritourism retreat, the project includes lodging, dining, and educational spaces within a low-impact footprint. Materials were locally sourced, and landscaping preserves native olive and citrus trees.

Red House

Office: Pacarizi Studio

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. GEZIM PACARIZI

Inspired by Alan Watts’ question, “What happens to my fist when I open my hand?”, Red House explores the power of space that exists through absence. The project began with a central court—the true heart of the house—around which life unfolds almost theatrically. Rooms face the void, light and movement shape experience, and the architecture frames changing atmospheres. Built with living materials, the house evolves over time, offering generosity to its inhabitants.

Oncological Institute

Office: SAM Ideas

Stage: Under Construction

Team: arch. SEBASTIAN SAVESCU

The Integrated Center for Screening and Diagnosis of the Regional Institute of Oncology in Iași explores how architecture can emerge from the very logic of medical processes. Inspired by the principles of screening and diagnosis, the façade is conceived as a sequence of “slices”, selecting and isolating relevant information. The project translates a complex functional program into an architectural language that reflects the building’s purpose: early detection, clarity of data, and precision in interpretation.

Kasollet e Zanave

Office: MADEN Group

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. Ideal Vejsa

In the quiet landscape of Prapashticë, Kasollet e Zanave—literally “Fairy Huts”—nestles where people, animals, and nature share the land, and simple architectural gestures gently build upon existing farm structures. The design approach developed by Maden is rooted in the concept of environmental interconnection, architecture acts as a mediator between people, nature, and tradition. Rather than replacing what existed, the project builds upon it, using natural materials and spatial strategies that emphasize continuity and authenticity.

SB Interior

Office: BMA

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. Besian Mehmeti

The project explores the transformation of an existing building into a new branch of Stopanska Banka in Ohrid, balancing contemporary interior design with the character of the existing structure. The intervention carefully integrates new functional requirements while preserving the building’s defining brick architecture, allowing the historic materiality to remain the central spatial element. Through minimal and precise design gestures, the project demonstrates how context-sensitive interior architecture can reinterpret existing spaces for contemporary institutional use.

The Rift of Muscat

Office: BMA

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. Besian Mehmeti

The project proposes a new Muscat Municipality building shaped by a careful reading of the city’s natural and urban context. Inspired by the dramatic landscape of the surrounding mountains and wadis, the design introduces a “rift” that organizes the building’s form and public spaces. This gesture creates a civic structure that is both monumental and accessible, where architecture becomes a continuation of the landscape while establishing a strong contemporary identity for the institution.

TREE HOUSE

Office: XTU

Stage: Completed

Team: arch. Anouk Legendre

The project features landscaped terraces on every floor and for each apartment. That amounts to more than 100 trees.
